For enquiries about the actual scholarship, please contact your local Japanese Embassy. Please do NOT apply for registration on this page if you are not a current or past Monbusho (Monbukagakusho) Scholar.

The Monbusho (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship offered by the Japanese Government.
To date, some 55,000 students from approximately 145 countries and regions around the world have studied in Japan under the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship program established in 1954. This page is the only international alumni site for the Monbukagakusho (Monbusho) Scholarship, and offers present and past scholars a common place to share information and build a tighter community.
